Welcome to Right Edge

Lesson 0.1 · ~4 min read · first of ~51

You've probably watched one trader swear a certain indicator is the holy grail — and then watched another swear the exact same one is useless. And here's the strange part: they both seem to make money.

So who's lying? Maybe neither. Maybe both tools work — just not for the same person. That small, uncomfortable idea is the crack this entire school is built around, and it's the reason Right Edge exists when a hundred free trading courses already do.

What this actually is

Right Edge is a free, step-by-step school that teaches you to read a price chart and trade with a small set of indicators — moving averages, RSI, MACD, Ichimoku, and a few others. That part isn't new; plenty of places teach it.

Here's the part that is: after we teach you the tools, we help you find out which of them actually work for you. Because a trading edge is personal. Two disciplined people using the identical indicators get different results — because one has the patience for slow 3-day swings and the other reads fast charts better, because one trusts a pullback and the other freezes on it. The tools are the same. The person isn't.

So the promise is simple, and it's the whole reason you're here: you will leave this course knowing your own edge — not a stranger's.

What you're working toward

Everything in this course points at one thing: a readout we call your trading fingerprint. After you've practiced enough trades in the Lab, it looks like this —

trading fingerprint · 41 practice trades · 56% win · +0.31R/trade

Timeframe#Win%Avg R
3D1464+0.58
1D1953+0.22
12H850−0.11

Ichimoku2162+0.49
EMA202759+0.31
Stochastic1644−0.09
↳ This trader's edge: the 3D timeframe with Ichimoku. Their 12-hour scalping and their Stochastic trades quietly lose money — so they stop taking them.

That's not a guru's opinion. It's this person's own track record, telling them where they're genuinely good and where they're quietly bleeding. Nobody handed them that. They found it — and by the end of this course, so will you.

The honest truth

Most people who try trading lose money. That's not a scare tactic; it's the base rate, and pretending otherwise would be the first lie in a field full of them.

This course will not make you rich quickly. Trading is a skill, built with reps and patience over months, like any other. We're going to talk about risk management almost obsessively, because staying alive matters more than being right — and that's the exact opposite of what the hype accounts sell you.

If you want a lottery ticket, this isn't it. If you want to build a real skill, honestly, with your eyes open — you're in the right place. And a rule from lesson one: only ever practice with, and eventually risk, money you can afford to lose entirely. Nothing here is a promise of profit.

Try it yourself

Reading about trading is almost useless. Doing it is everything — which is why every lesson ends here, with something to try in the practice Lab. No real money, no risk, ever.

For your very first one, don't try to "win." Just open the Lab, press Play, and watch the chart reveal itself one bar at a time. Take one Long and one Short trade just to feel the buttons. You're not trading yet — you're sitting in the cockpit and finding the controls.
